October 12th of 2012 my daughter Freya was born at home.
Here are a few pictures of Freya and Tobias. The newest pictures aren’t transferred to my pc yet (haven’t found the SD cardreader yet which I need for that).

Congratulations (again!!!) How exciting to see that you had her at home!!! I love the pics: the midwife holding Freya up in the air, her with her cute crinkled nose (yawning?) at 1-1/2 days old, YOU and Freya…..So glad all of Tobias’ curls weren’t cut off:) You have a beautiful family, Debbie. . Also, the hospital is only 10 minutes drive away, and if I’d have the baby there I would have to stay at home for the first part anyway. I didn’t look forward to having to get into the car while having painfull contractions, I’d rather stay where I am then!

I’m not sure anymore if she was yawning or starting to cry, it looks more like yawning indeed.
The choice for home-birth wasn’t hard, I have 3 sisters and they all had their children at home and didn’t have any complications. Also my mom didn’t have complications when she had us, so I just hoped I had the same good genes
I’m also very glad Tobias still has his curls! Sometimes when he has been wearing his winterhat (he wants it on whenever he goes outside though it’s not always needed), his hair is all flat, it looks so strange then! But luckily it doesn’t take long for his hair to be messy and curly again
